Egypt's Olympic team, led by Shawki Ghareeb, officially qualified for the semi-finals of the African Under-23 Championship after beating Ghana, 3-2, in the match between the two teams today in Cairo Stadium in the second round of the first round of the championship.

With this result, the Egyptian Olympic team raised its tally to 6 points, in the first place, to qualify officially to the next round, regardless of the outcome of their next match against Cameroon in the third round.

Egypt missed an opportunity to score the second goal in the 31st minute through the duo Salah Mohsen and Karim Iraqi, after they reached the ball inside the Ghanaian penalty area but they strangely missed the ball in front of the goalkeeper, and Mohamed Sobhy guard Pharaohs saved a powerful shot from Ghana player "Fobi" to maintain the tie in 35 minutes.

The Ghana goalkeeper managed to save his goal from a goal from a rocket shot by Ramadan Sobhi in the 43rd minute to turn it off the field, and the first half ends with a draw for each team.

At the beginning of the second half, Mohamed Abdel Salam caused the shaking of the nets of the Pharaohs in the 47th minute after he made a mistake in returning the ball to his own goalkeeper and the Ghanaian striker scored the second goal.

The Ghana goalkeeper prevented a goal for Mustafa Mohamed in the 54th minute after receiving a cross from Ramadan Sobhi, shot directly in the direction of Ghana's goal, but the hot top brilliantly.
